If I am offered a job, will NTI reimburse me for purchasing any equipment?

Modified on Thu, Dec 12 at 5:26 PM

NTI doesn't reimburse for the required equipment to perform a job, unless it is related to a necessary accommodation related to your disability. If you believe you require one, please call us at 877-248-8912 and request to speak to our Human Resources department.

In some cases, the employer may send you equipment. In others, you must provide your own. If you are a client of your state Vocational Rehabilitation agency, they may be able to help pay for some or all of the equipment you would need. This would depend on the specifics of your employment plan with them.

Some employers will reimburse your Internet access and/or flat rate calling plans. Details will depend on the job. More often, employers tend to treat the cost of Internet and a working computer as a "commuting" expense. However, as more and more workers are hired for at-home jobs, we are seeing attitudes change.
